George Duke is an artist with an incredibly broad range who has performed and recorded with such musicians as Frank Zappa, Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones, and as a producer has worked with Miles Davis, Al Jarreau, and Anita Baker, among many others. George also gives hints and practical pointers such as how to gracefully handle single-note errors or chordal mistakes during live performance. Volume 2, Keyboard Improvisation features George in a seminar setting on contemporary improvisation and piano styles. He covers such topics as left-hand comping, phrasing, building solos from motifs, and various approaches to improvising compositionally.
